Dara is a focused, intentional, and spirited teacher. She uses her creativity and compassion to connect and inspire through her many classes and workshops. She is an Advanced Certified CYT850+ yoga instructor with 650 hours of formal training with World Peace Yoga school and additional advanced teacher training with Saraswati Yoga School. She has a BFA in Painting, a BS in Art Education, is a certified Reiki Practitioner, and holds certificates for extended training in Classical Hatha Yoga, Sanskrit, and Mantra.
She has thousands of hours of experience in developing and teaching studio classes, university yoga courses, kid/teen yoga courses, and teacher training segments. Her teaching goes beyond the postures and into yoga philosophy in a way that is practical to real life. Dara sees the challenges of life such as parenting and marriage as she sees the challenges inherit in a tough yoga posture; use the breath to keep the mind calm, align with core principles, focus on the bigger picture, and be sure to put supports in place when things get tough.
Dara shares the parenting of three magical children with her husband, James, and enjoys a variety of creative endeavors including drawing, painting, acro yoga, and dance.
